EXPERIMENT TWO Investigating the effect of concentration on reaction
AIM: I want to investigate the concentration  effects the reaction rate
EQUIPMENT: 

• a conical flask, 
•  measuring cylinder,
•  stopwatch,
• black cross on paper, water bath,
•  thermometer,
•  0.1 mol-1 sodium thiosulfate,
•  0.1 mol-1 hydrochloric acids (HCl)

METHOD

1. Put the "X" paper on the bench mat, and put the conical flask on top of the paper.
2. measure 10ml of sodium thiosulfate solution and put into the conical flask.
3. measure 40ml of water and put it into the conical flask.swirl the flask to mix the content.
4. measure 5ml of acid. pour the acid into the flask, start the stopwatch, and swirl the flask. time how long it takes for the cross to disappear.
5. wash out the flask thoroughly. Repeat the experiment, using the other volumes of sodium thiosulfate and water in the table on the right, keep the volume of acid the same each time.

RESULTS

10mL Thiosulfate/40mL Water took 1132sec for the X to disappear.
20mL Thiosulfate/30mL Water took 165sec for the X to disappear.
30mL Thiosulfate/20mL Water took 95sec for the X to disappear.
40mL Thiosulfate/10mL Water took 65sec for the X to disappear.
50mL Thiosulfate/0mL Water took  43.88sec for the X to disappear.

ANALYSIS THE RESULTS

CONCLUSION

A chemical reaction is when two reactants collide.

They must collide with enough force, correct orientation and catalysts.

As I increase the concentration they will move faster.

which means that rate of the reaction will increase.

1. What does Jekyll say in response to Utterson’s inquiry regarding Hyde’s whereabouts?

Jekyll says that he swears that he will never set eyes on him again and he is done with him in this world. That it is all at an end and he does not want Dr. Jekylls help and he is safe and never to be heard of again.

Jekyll wants Utterson to have the letter because he is unsure what to do with it. He does not know if he should show it to the police and chooses to give it to Utterson because he trust his wisdom.

The letter is from Mr. Hyde and it says that Dr. Jekyll need not be afraid for his safety because Mr. Hyde has means of escape that he trusted.

Poole is so positive that no messenger delivered the letter because he received the mail and Dr. Jekyll only received circulars that day.

5. Who is Mr Guest?
Utterson’s clerk and confidant.

6. Utterson says, “There was no man from whom he kept fewer secrets than Mr Guest, and he was not always sure that he kept as many as he meant.” What does this mean about the relationship between Guest and Utterson?
They are close and that Utterson trust Guest with the Intel he gives.
7. What special ability does Guest have?
Guest is also an expert in handwriting. His skill proves particularly useful when Utterson wants him to examine a bit of Hyde’s handwriting.

The purpose of musical propaganda in wartime is the purpose of proving they were against Hitler and to insulting things about someone.For example, the purpose of the song in the resource is to Hitler only had one ball was insulting his body and what his body lacked.

ANSWER:

To Germans, jews are an abomination of their beliefs. They believed that jews are controlling, manipulative, power hungry, emotionless, useless, and ugly, Germans believed that jews wanted to control the Germany or maybe the world and that they wanted to enslave the Germans to help their dirty work.

In resource A . they say that the jews are controlling, emotionless, money hungry, dirty, ugly, cruel, and greedy.

In the west side of the resource is a red shape, that is  the symbol communism and with that in a map of Germany  they are saying that Germany believes jews want  Germany to become a communism and they are going to enslave Germany to be the same and have no power over their belief and turn the Jewish.

In resource A. there is a whip in the jews left hand.That states that jews are going to controlling and cruel.They believe that they want to hurt the germans. The features on the man tell you that they believe the jews are dirty.

EXPERIMENT ONE: Investigating the effect of temperature on reaction
AIM: I want to investigate the temperature effects the reaction rate
EQUIPMENT: 

• a conical flask, 
• beaker,
•  measuring cylinder,
•  stopwatch,
• black cross on paper, water bath,
•  thermometer,
•  0.1 mol-1 sodium thiosulfate,
•  0.1 mol-1 hydrochloric acids (HCl)

METHOD

1. Put the "X" paper on the bench mat, and put the conical flask.
2. measure 50ml of sodium thiosulfate solution and put into the beaker.
3. record the temperature of the sodium thiosulfate.
4. measure 50ml of HCl and pour this into the conical flask
5. pour sodium thiosulfate into the conical flask, start the stopwatch and swirl the flask. time how long it takes for the cross to disappear when viewed from above (i.e.look down the mouth of the conical flask)
6. wash out the flask thoroughly
7. repeat the experiment, using a water bath to heat the sodium thiosulfate to 30°C, then 40°C . nad finally 50°C. keep the volume of acid the same each time.

RESULTS

1. 19°C took 25.06 seconds
2. 30°C took 9.05 seconds
3. 40°C took 7.05 seconds
4. 50°C took 2.07 seconds 

CONCLUSION

Jack the ripper was a well-known serial killer. In the late victorian era (1888), Jack the ripper terrorised London, England. Jack the ripper was a serial killer who killed prostitutes working in the east end in London. using pea-soupers as a cover, the Ripper ultimately slaughtered five or more prostitutes. His identity to this today is still unrevealed.  It is generally believed that there were five victims of Jack the Ripper. They were: Mary Nichols, murdered on 31st August 1888.Annie Chapman, murdered on 8th September 1888.Elizabeth Stride, murdered on 30th September 1888.Catherine Eddowes, also murdered on 30th September 1888.Mary Kelly, murdered on 9th November 1888.
